Renowned for his unforgettable bass lines and emotionally charged lyrics as part of the multi-platinum band 5 Seconds of Summer, Calum Hood is officially stepping into the spotlight with his first solo release. Following the lead of his fellow bandmates who have been exploring their individual sounds, Hood is set to drop his debut single, “Don’t Forget You Love Me,” on Thursday, April 10 at 7 AM PST.

Rumors began swirling after fans noticed a mysterious billboard in an Australian mall featuring the URL calumhood.com. Curious fans who visited the site were met with a tank of water being electrocuted and the cryptic words “Order” and “Chaos.” Clicking on either led to a sign-up form—presumably for his mailing list—followed by a countdown clock that sparked even more speculation.
Today, the wait is over. Calum officially confirmed the release of his first single. Listed as an indie-pop artist under Universal Australia, he’s embarking on an exciting new chapter—and we can’t wait to hear what he’s been working on.
