Just as Fontaines D.C. launch their largest North American tour to date—beginning tomorrow in Seattle—they’ve released the ROMANCE (Deluxe Edition), a bold expansion of their critically acclaimed fourth album. Out now via XL Recordings, the deluxe version introduces three new tracks that push the boundaries of the original record. The release coincides with the band’s return to North American stages for the first time since 2022, a 24-date headline run that wraps with three sold-out nights at New York’s Hammerstein Ballroom from May 16 through 18. Their summer continues overseas with four sold-out UK outdoor headline shows, where they’ll perform for over 100,000 fans.

“It’s Amazing To Be Young,” the band’s most successful single to date, leads the release alongside a striking, dreamlike video directed by Luna Carmoon. It’s joined by the brand-new “Before You I Just Forget,” a powerful, shape-shifting track produced by James Ford. Speaking on the song, guitarist Conor Curley said, “‘Before You I Just Forget’ is a song that started with a vision of this really blown out sound, something that heaved and shifted with new details, becoming apparent every time you would listen. Like never being able to step in the same river twice, the song morphs and changes, finishing with an incredible string part by Grian.” Rounding out the release is a stripped-back live version of “Starburster” that flows seamlessly into a cover of David Lynch’s eerie “In Heaven (Lady in the Radiator Song)” from his 1977 cult film Eraserhead.
