The most exciting day of the year for vinyl record collectors is right around the corner. Record Store Day 2025 will be held on April 12 and the full list of exclusive and first releases has now been unveiled. This years' Record Store Day Ambassador is Post Malone, who is slated to release a Record Store Day Exclusive Post Malone Tribute to Nirvana as an LP for the event.
Record Store Day includes Exclusive Releases only available in record stores, Limited Run/Regional Focus Releases, and RSD First Releases, which are releases that are first available at record stores on Record Store Day, but will be repressed at a later date and typically become available direct for purchase from the artists or their labels.
Notable Exclusive Releases for Record Store Day 2025 include The B52's Picture Disc, Bluey Burger Dog Picture Disc 7", Blur The Magic Whip, David Bowie Ready, Set, Go! (Live, Riverside Studios '03), Charli xcx Guess featuring Billie Eilish 7" and Number 1 Angel LP, Elvis Costello Kings of America Live at the Royal Albert Hall, The Dare The Sex, Olivia Dean With Love, Fleetwood Mac Picture Disc, three Actual Life Piano Live releases from Fred Again..., George Harrison All Things Must Pass Zoetrope, John Legend Get Lifted, Rising, Megan Thee Stallion Traumazine, Shakira Live from Paris, The Veronicas The Secret Life Of..., Wicked: The Soundtrack, and Taylor Swift 'Fortnight' 7".
Many artists are utilizing the RSD First Release method in 2025 for new titles and vinyl-exclusive titles.
