Selena Gomez and Benny Blanco Announce New Album 'I Said I Love You First' with New Single

Selena Gomez fans received the sweetest Valentine’s Day surprise from the singer and her fiancé, Benny Blanco. Nearly four years after Revelación (and five since her last LP, Rare), Gomez and Blanco have announced their first full-length album as a couple, I Said I Love You First, set for release on March 21.

According to a statement on Gomez’s website, I Said I Love You First came together naturally, inspired by the creative comfort they found in working together. The album tells their love story—from before they met, to falling in love, and looking toward the future.

The album will include 14 tracks, with the closing song, “Scared of Loving You,” dropping alongside the announcement. This surprise came just months after their engagement in December, making it even more special—especially since Gomez had previously stated in October that she had “no immediate plans to release new music.”

The project will be released via SMG Music LLC & Friends Keep Secrets, under an exclusive license to Interscope Records—signaling a shift in both artists’ independence. (SMG are Gomez’s initials, while Friends Keep Secrets is the title of Blanco’s debut album.)

Fans can now preorder multiple vinyl variants, signed albums, CDs, and new merchandise. Presave/preorder I Said I Love You First here.
